ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. –– Last week the Notre Dame football season opener was moved back to the United States. However, the program may not be finished rescheduling games away from their original location.
The Fighting Irish are slated to play four games at NFL stadiums this season. With that said, Notre Dame football coach Brian Kelly said there are reasons to look at all options when it comes to those games.
“The NFL is talking about capping attendance in stadiums so questions come up like 'does it make sense to go to an NFL stadium that seats 60, 70, 80,000 and have 25,000 or 30,000 in it?' And impact the gate where you can't really afford to be there because it becomes a losing proposition," Kelly said.
