SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- If you’ve been on the hunt for tickets at all throughout this playoff run, you know how difficult the market can be.
That is why a group of recent Notre Dame grads told ABC57, they hope to combine the trustworthiness of verified resale sites, without the 30-40 percent markup fees, with their startup company, MyTickets.
The company was formed through Notre Dame’s commercialization engine, The Idea Center.
It launched just about a month ago, just in time for CFP.
Cofounder & CEO, Kenan Wursthorn broke down the lottery system and record-breaking prices that have many Notre Dame fans turning to a number of resale Facebook groups to avoid outrageous fees but put them at risk for scams!
This is the gap the start-up homes to bridge, by allowing buyers and sellers to connect, negotiate, and bid on verified tickets.
"Creating that environment, giving both sides more options, more ability to communicate is what we think will allow prices to reach fair market value a bit more consistently,” said Wursthorn.
