NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Fighting Irish band marched all around campus and into another school year Thursday afternoon.
The university’s marching band is full of tradition, and showing off to incoming students the week before classes begin is one of them.
"It's crazy, to be part of years and years of tradition. We have an alumni game this year and we're going to have people come back who were in this band so many years ago and see how it's changed but in a lot of ways it's stayed the same and it's great to be a part of something so special." Brie Wilenius, senior and Drum Major, said.
The band is preparing to perform live on September 1st, when the football team works to defeat the University of Michigan.
