STARKE COUNTY, Ind. --- National Weather Service reported a supercell originated in eastern Illinois and moved to western Indiana, entering Starke County.
A little after entering Starke County, it produced a tornado which moved over rural areas until dissipation near the Starke County Airport.
NWS officials say a survey damage revealed a tornado touched down southwest of Lomax at approximately 09:15 p.m.
The tornado spanned about 1000 yards and traveled for about 14.59 miles.
Fortunately, there were no injuries or fatalities reported in Starke County.
The EF-2 tornado had a peak wind of 115 miles per hour and ended around 09:40 p.m. Tuesday night in northwest Knox.
