UPDATE: Single victim released from hospital after early morning Huey Street shooting

UPDATE: Officials confirm the victim was a woman whose non-life-threatening injuries were treated and who was later released.
The Violent Crimes Unit is taking over the investigation.
ORIGINAL CONTENT: SOUTH BEND, Ind. — South Bend Police confirm that one person was injured in a shooting Monday morning in the 1700 block of Huey Street.
Officials confirm the shooting happened around 5 a.m. and the victim took themselves to a local hospital.
