Today will be our last day of the Excessive Heat Warning, which expires at 8 PM tonight. Clouds will build in late today as highs top out in the low 90s, setting the stage for showers and storms. Those will roll in after 7 PM this evening with the bulk of the rain continuing until just after midnight. Some storms could strong to severe, with heavy rain, gusty winds and small hail possible. Thanks to the storms and passing cold front, we’ll be cooler to start the work week but the heat builds back by the second half of the week. Rain chances continue to be peppered into the forecast around the 4th of July holiday.
Today: Mostly sunny with increasing PM clouds. Breezy. High of 91.
Tonight: Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with showers and storms after 7 PM. A few could be strong/severe. Low of 71.
Monday: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of AM showers, then mostly sunny late. High of 84.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny early with increasing clouds and a chance of PM showers or a storm. Highs in the upper 80s.
