One-person dead following single car crash

UPDATE: The victim of the fatal crash was identified as 38-year-old Ryan Stroud from Niles, Mich. 

The St. Joseph County Police Department believe excessive speed, limited visibility due to fog, darkness and alcohol to be factors of the crash, but investigators are still awaiting a full toxicology report. 

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - St. Joseph County Police are investigating a deadly single car crash that happened on Saturday at 1:45 a.m. 

County Police say the crash happened at the roundabout at Brick and Fir Roads.

The driver, who was the only person in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The car was driving east on Brick Road, and then went up and over the roundabout, going airborne.

The car landed in a yard and stopped in the driveway of a home in the 52000 block of Fir Road.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
