One person injured after a shooting in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A call was made to police at approximately 8:42 p.m. on Saturday night to report a shooting in South Bend.

One person was shot and injured and was taken to a nearby hospital.

The extent of the victim's injuries are currently unknown.

The location of the shooting was near the intersection of West Donald Street and Webster Street near Rum Village.

No suspect is currently known.

The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit is currently on the scene.
