Shooting investigation underway in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police have confirmed one person was injured in a shooting in the Howard Park area around 7:50 p.m. Thursday night.

According to police were dispatched to the Broadway and Fellows area in response to reports of a shooting when they learned the incident had happened in the Howard Park are. 

When authorities arrived they found an injured victim inside his vehicle. 

According to officials the victim did not sustain any gunshot wounds, but had been hit by shattered glass from a car window. 

That victim was taken to a local hospital where he is expected to recover. 

Witnesses say a vehicle pulled up and an unknown male made threats towards the victim and the people accompanying him. 

The witness also says that when the victim drove away, the shots were then fired.
