Oregon woman designs plus size yoga

PORTLAND — An Oregon woman is taking traditional yoga and turning it on its head.

Anna Ipox started her own yoga studio that designed specifically for the heavyset called "fat yoga."

Anna's been into yoga for more than 10 years and says she always felt there were some poses her bigger size made it difficult to do.

"I remember teachers pushing on my hips to make it happen. It's not a flexibility thing and I couldn't articulate any of that," said Anna. "We come here to have that space and hold that space and be healthy and get our good sweat on and laugh and have a good time."

The CDC says more than a third of Americans are obese and the benefits of exercise, including yoga, are undeniable.
