ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - The Humane Society of St. Joseph County reports it's in urgent need of foster homes for rescued cats and kittens.

Described as a crisis, there have been 115 cats rescued in the past 10 days, with over half of them coming from only three homes.

The shelter says it's nearing full capacity and urgently needs the public's help to provide temporary homes for the kittens and cats.

"With our shelter almost completely full, even our own staff members have taken kittens home," said Executive Director of the Humane Society of St. Joseph County Genny Brown. "We are in desperate need of foster families who can provide care and love to these animals during this critical time."

The Humane Society says it will cover all food and associated costs and all it needs from you is a safe and loving environment for these furry friends.
