Palm Sunday Peace Walk honors victims of violence

ELKHART, Ind. --- On Sunday, a very special Palm Sunday Peace Walk took place.  The walk was to remember those who were killed in the recent incidents of violence in Michiana.

The peaceful march began at the Mennonite Church on Hively Avenue Sunday afternoon.

Community members walked in silence honoring those whose lives were taken too soon.

"Today, walking visibly in our community, is transforming effect in our own personal lives and our communities, and those different communities represented here can bond us together," Chairman for the walk, Wendell Wiebe-Powell said.

The parade ended at the civic plaza with more than 50 people in attendance.
