Passenger paralyzed in 2025 New Year's Day crash, 23-year-old driver sentenced
Marshall County Jail: Karzdon McCrammer MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- A 23-year-old Marshall County man is facing one to six years in prison after pleading guilty to Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated Causing Serious Bodily Injury, a Level 5 Felony, stemming from a 2025 New Year's Day car crash.
The Marshall County Prosecutor's Office states the driver, Karzdon McCrammer, pled guilty on Monday in an argued sentencing.
On New Year's Day 2025, deputies with the Marshall County Sheriff's Office responded to a single-vehicle crash. McCrammer's female passenger was paralyzed as a result of the crash.
The judge sentenced McCrammer five years with two years to be served in the Indiana Department of Corrections, two years to be served in Marshall County Community Corrections, and one year to be served on reporting probation.
McCrammer must also complete 100 hours of community service, complete the Marshall County Drug and Alcohol Program, pay a $1,000 fine, and will have his driver's license suspended for two years.
