Pedestrian seriously injured in hit and run crash on W. Western

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team is investigating a hit and run involving a pedestrian on W. Western Wednesday evening.
Shanon Clewell of Auburn, Indiana, was crossing the 3300 block of W. Western Avenue around 9 p.m. when she was struck by a vehicle traveling west on Western.
The driver of the vehicle, believed to be a black SUV, did not stop.
Clewell was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.
