Police investigating reports of shots fired in 2 separate incidents

ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart Police are investigating two separate incidents of shots fired that happened Wednesday evening.

Around 8 p.m., police responded to Ashland and Cleveland avenues for reports of gunfire.

Police found shell casings near the intersection.

Officers were told the gunshots came from a gray SUV that left the area.

A Ford F150 parked on Cleveland was hit by gunfire.

There were no injuries reported.

Just after 11 p.m., police investigated reports of shots fired in the area of Marion and 9th Street.

Police located shell casings in the area.

There were no reports of injuries from this incident.
