Police officer suffers minor injuries in accident

Early Wednesday morning an officer with the Ontwa Township Edwardsburg Police Department was involved in a vehicle accident.
A pickup truck failed to stop at the flashing red light at Elkhart Road and M62 around 5:30 a.m. and struck a patrol car headed north on M62, police said.
Officer Tanner Sinclair was taken to the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center for treatment and was released.
The driver of the pickup refused medical attention.
