Popular Elkhart riverboat docked for summer

ELKHART, Ind. — A popular Elkhart riverboat is out of service because of safety concerns.
The River Queen usually offers rides on Sundays on the St. Joseph River during the summer. But not this year.
The owner tells us that the 66-year-old boat sprung a leak and needs to be fixed.
The boat will not be taking any passengers out on the river until a more thorough inspection can be completed at the end of the summer or next winter.
The River Queen has been giving rides to the public since 1997.
