It is a warm and muggy start to the day with temperatures only dropping into the mid to upper 70s. This will lead to possible record high temperatures this afternoon in the upper 90s to near 100. The humidity will contribute to a heat index of 105-110. This has prompted an excessive heat warning to be issued for both today and tomorrow. More of the same type of heat will be on the way for tomorrow afternoon as well. Make sure if you are working outside to take frequent breaks and stay hydrated. Our next cold front will arrive Wednesday night into Thursday morning. This could prompt a few scattered showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will begin to drop back into the lower 90s Thursday then the lower 80s Friday. Mild and comfortable weather will accompany us into the weekend as highs will only hit the upper 70s to lower 80s. Next week we will see the lower 90s return throughout Michiana.

Today: Extreme Heat. High 99.
Tonight: Mostly clear. Low 78.
Tomorrow: Extreme Heat. High 99.
