SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A one-of-a-kind drive-thru event will be held at Potawatomi Zoo this Saturday and Sunday. Visitors will be allowed to drive along the road inside the Zoo’s property.
“We really wanted to give our visitors and members a chance to see the Zoo in a different way while we’re still closed to the public,” says Josh Sisk, executive director of the Potawatomi Zoo. “This is a rare opportunity to see the Zoo behind the scenes and also see ambassador animals or talk to Zoo keepers.”
Tickets for the Zoo went on sale Wednesday. Tickets for Saturday have already been sold out:
The drive-thru events are scheduled for 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. on both days.
Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
You can purchase tickets online at the website for Potawatomi Zoo.
The cost for tickets is $20 per car for members of the zoo. Non-members must pay $40 per car.
You are to remain in your car throughout the entire drive.
No cash will be accepted at the gate.
However, there will be an opportunity to pick out a small plushie at the exit for a cash donation of $10.
