Potawatomi Zoo kicks off Winter Days

The Potawatomi Zoo is set to kick off their Winter Days on Saturday with family activities such as animal cupcake decorating.

The zoo will also be celebrating one of their animal's birthdays at 1:30 p.m.

Baby-face, a female chimpanzee at the zoo, is turning 43-years-old on Saturday.

The zoo has posted a list of enrichment gifts that they say would be perfect for Baby-face, including wooden baby blocks, non-toxic paint, CD's of nature sounds, pillows, and blankets.

The zoo is also accepting snacks that their chimpanzee likes to eat, such as sugar-free cereal and fruit.

Potawatomi Zoo will be open from 12:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday and admission is $5.50 per person.
