Power outage in South Bend affects 4,100

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A power outage on the north east side of South Bend is affecting 4,100 customers, according to Indiana Michigan Power. The outage happened Saturday night around 6 p.m.

I&M crews are working to restore power, but cannot confirm what has caused the station level outage.

According to their outage map, they are aiming to have power restored by 11 p.m. but weather and unforeseen circumstances may affect this time.

As of 9:45 p.m. Indiana Michigan Power reports that the substation outage has been partially restored and crews are working on a downed wire and an underground circuit.

According to I&M there are still ~2,700 people without power.
