President Carter to attend South Bend Cubs game on Wednesday
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – President and Mrs. Carter have been invited to enjoy a South Bend Cubs game at Four Winds Field.
The invitation comes from Andrew Berlin, owner of the South Bend Cubs.
Berlin said, “President Carter has done more in his post-presidency to help other people across the country and around the world than any other President in United States history. “
The Carters are visiting South Bend as volunteers for their Carter Work Project which is in association with Habitat for Humanity.
This week the project will build 31 homes in St. Joseph County with the help of hundreds of volunteers.
Berlin also mentioned, “A relaxing evening in the Owner’s Suite at Four Winds Field is our humble way of thanking him for bringing the 2018 Carter Work Project to this community.”
The Carters will attend Wednesday’s game against Bowling Green Hot Rods that starts at 7:05 p.m.
The gates will open for the game at 6 p.m.
