Public input wanted on NIPSCO electric rate changes

VALPARAISO, Ind. - The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission is hosting a field hearing in Valparaiso on January 4 to go over new rates and charges for electric utility services by the Northern Indiana Public Service Company, LLC (NIPSCO). Community members are invited to share their thoughts both in person and online.

The in-person discussion will be held at 6 p.m. Central Standard Time in the auditorium of Valparaiso High School, located at 2727 N. Campbell St. Enter through Door 1 or Door 31.

During the discussion, ratepayers will have the chance to speak to the utility commission about NIPSCO's proposal. Since the case is pending, commissioners cannot answer questions or engage in discussions about the case.

Those unable to attend the hearing can submit written comments to the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor.
