WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue University will be freezing tuition costs for the next two years. This is all in response to the nation's lingering weak ecomy.
It means the cost of basic in-state tuition will remain at $10,000. Out-of-state tuition will stay around $29,000.
Former governor and current Purdue President Mitch Daniels said around $40 million will need to be cut from the budget to accommodate the freeze.
