Radio personality Ron Stryker passes away
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind.—103.9 The Bear’s Ron Stryker has passed away.
The radio station shared the following statement on Facebook on Wednesday.
It is with incredible sadness and heavy hearts that we announce that our friend and colleague Ron Stryker has passed away. Ron has been a part of 103.9 The Bear and Federated Media family as long as any of us can remember. His personality and passion are irreplaceable.
Out of respect for his family, friends and coworkers who are grieving his loss we are asking for privacy at this time.

In addition to his work with 103.9 The Bear, Stryker was an announcer for Notre Dame Men’s Basketball’s home games.
The Associate Athletics Director released the following statement regarding Stryker's passing.
"Ron was a consummate professional who helped create a great atmosphere in Purcell Pavilion for our men's basketball team and fans. His voice, talent and personality will be dearly missed and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this very difficult time."

Stryker’s real name is John Michel.
