Registration open for South Bend Cubs baseball academy for young players
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Cubs players and coaches will be hosting the 2019 Meijer Baseball Academy for young players of all skill levels in July.
The Academy will feature two three-day sessions from July 10 through July 12 and from July 24 through July 26.
The academy is broken up into two sessions to allow for more one-on-one interaction with South Bend Cubs players and coaches.
Registration is open to children from 6 - 12 years of age and is $125 for the three-day session.
The sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. with lunch at 11:50 a.m.
The instruction is based on the age and skill level of the participant. The young players will learn about hitting, pitching, fielding, catching and base running.
Because there are only 85 spots open for each session, interested participants are encouraged to sign up early. The deadline to sign up is June 10.
All attendees will receive a Meijer Baseball Academy t-shirt, a South Bend Cubs hat, lunch after each day of camp, and four (4) tickets to a South Bend Cubs game where all academy campers will participate in a pre-game recognition on the field.
