SOUTH BEND, Ind. – South Bend Fire Station Three on McKinley Avenue is up and running again after renovations were made to the station.
Renovations include a new kitchen to feed the firefighters, new locker rooms and a fitness center.
The station also includes a memorial dedicated to Jeremy Bush, the veteran firefighter who was killed in a recent motorcycle crash.
A benefit for Bush’s family is set for this Sunday at 1 p.m at Smith’s Downtown in Mishawaka.
There will be a cover charge to raise money for Bush’s family and help pay for his son’s medical bills.
The 15-year-old was on the back of the bike when the crash happened and is still recovering in the hospital.
