Resident wants to recall Benton Harbor Mayor, Commissioner

A Benton Harbor resident has filed paperwork to circulate recall petitions for Mayor James Hightower and Commissioner Sharon Henderson.

Dennie Brown filed paperwork that says he wants Henderson recalled for "Willingly allowing the city to operate without a civil Service Board, which is a direct violation of the Charter Code and State Provisions that Governs the City of Benton Harbor."

Brown also filed paperwork to recall Mayor Hightower for, "Knowingly and willingly allowing the city to operate without a civil Service Board which is a direct violation of the Charter Code and State Provisions that Governs the City of Benton Harbor."

The paperwork was filed December 2nd with the Berrien County Clerk of Court.
