Road crews try and clear snow dunes

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Street crews continue to work to keep the large mounds of snow from becoming death traps on the road.

Crews have been dumping sand on the roads to try give cars some sort of traction because salt will not work when the temp drops below zero.

Luckily for drivers, Wednesday's high temperatures mean those salt treatments will become effective at melting the ice.
