CASS COUNTY Mich. -- A rolling car crash ended with the car on fire and the driver airlifted to the hospital Monday afternoon, says the Cass County Sheriff's Office.

Around 4:17 p.m. Monday, the Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Beeson Street and M 62 in LaGrange Township.

The 39-year-old driver was headed east on Beeson Street before her car went offroad on the south side, striking trees and ricocheting to the north side of the road. Her vehicle then rolled into a field, catching on fire.

The driver was removed from her vehicle and transported via helicopter to South Bend Memorial Hospital for her injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
