NEWTOWN, Conn. -- Kids at Sandy Hook Elementary are all smiles Monday night.
Each kid got to take home a grab-bag of gifts donated to the school.
Those gifts were donated about two months ago but were finally sorted and arranged for the kids.
Some got race cars while others got a Justin Bieber doll.
"I think it's pretty cool that a lot of people donated all this stuff just for us and us to be happy and try to get over it," said a Sandy Hook survivor.
"I'm hoping that they understand and their parents explain to them where these came from so that they feel the love that was sent to us," said a teacher.
The remaining gifts not picked will be given away to local charities.
