ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Residents at the South Bend Community Re-Entry Center (SBCRC) has partnered with Granger Community Church and their Season of Giving celebration and Angel Tree gift giving program.

The men at the SBCRC made a financial commitment to donate a portion of their personal earnings to purchase gifts for children in need.

Volunteers from the church along with the men from the SBCRC wrapped, boxed and loaded a bus filled with toys that will be delivered to the Monroe Circle Community Center.

They also adopted three Angel Tree families to brighten the holiday season for less fortunate families.

These men were also involved in other acts of community service: making placemats for homeless men over Thanksgiving, sending Christmas cards to residents of several community nursing homes, writing thank you cards to local first responders and making hundreds of face masks that were distributed throughout the community in the early days of the pandemic.
