SBPD donates K-9 vehicle to Alexandria Police Department

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Officers from the South Bend Police Department personally delivered a donated K-9 vehicle to the Alexandria Police Department Tuesday.

SBPD Chief of Police Scott Ruszkowski signed over the title and handed the keys over to the vehicle’s new owners.

"On behalf of the South Bend community, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, the Board of Public Works, and the South Bend PD; especially our K-9 unit, we present this K-9 vehicle. Our hope is that the use of this vehicle will assist in serving and protecting the Alexandria community, as much as it did ours in South Bend,” said Ruszkowski.
