SBPD investigating shooting; at least two victims

UPDATE: On Tuesday, July 15, just before 7 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the area of Huey Street and Roger Street through a ShotSpotter notification.

A man was found by officers suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the 700 block of Huey Street. While officers were investigating, they were informed that a second victim had arrived at Memorial Hospital with apparent gunshot wounds. 

Both victims are being treated at the hospital. 

The SBPD's Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the shooting which remains ongoing.

ORIGINAL: SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The SBPD is responding to a shooting that came in at approximately 7 p.m. at the intersection of Huey and Roger Streets.

This is still an active scene, with a large police presence, with the public being asked to avoid the area.

SBPD confirms that there is at least one victim.
