Second COVID-19 booster doses available to Michiganders

A second COVID-19 booster vaccine is now available for Michiganders ages 50 and up and immunocompromised residents over the age of 12, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

These residents can receive a second booster dose four months after getting the first booster dose.

The Pfizer vaccine is the only vaccine authorized for those under the age of 18.

Those getting a second dose are asked to bring their COVID-19 vaccine card or immunization record with them.

Michiganders ages 18 and older can get downloadable immunization records free of charge through the Michigan Immunization Portal.

Contact a health care provider or your local health department if you do not have records in the portal or if you’re looking for records for a child under 18.
