Second COVID-19 death reported in Indiana, six more cases diagnosed
INDIANAPOLIS—The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced on Tuesday that a second patient in Indiana has died from COVID-19.
The second patient to die from coronavirus in the state is a Johnson County adult over age 60 who had been hospitalized. No other information about the patient was released.
On Monday, the first Indiana death from coronavirus was announced by the health department. A patient from Marion County with underlying health issues died Monday morning.
ISDH also announced six more cases of COVID-19, bringing to the total number of cases in Indiana to 30.
Two new cases were reported in Lake County, two in Franklin County, and one in Marion County.
The total number of Hoosiers tested by the health department is now 159.
