Sheriff to meet with Goshen City Mayor to discuss off-duty police officer conduct

GOSHEN, Ind.—Elkhart County Sheriff Brad Rogers will meet with Goshen City Mayor Jeremy Stutsman to discuss preliminary findings stemming from the December 14 incident involving the conduct of off-duty police officers.

The December 14 incident resulted in the arrest of Goshen City Police officer Brody Brown for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

The findings of the Sheriff’s Office’s investigation into the incident will not be made available to the public.

There are also allegations that shots were fired from the car Brown was driving in.

Two other officers who were in the car with Brown were placed on administrative leave following the incident.

The Sheriff’s Office anticipates that the investigation will be completed soon and forwarded to the Elkhart County Prosecutor’s Office.
