Shiloh’s Place and Berrien County Animal Control hosts an adoption event
BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. --Shiloh’s Place is partnering with the Berrien County Animal Control to host an adoption event.
The event is happening today from 10-1 PM at Shiloh’s Place.
The adoption fee is $85. Co-owner of Shiloh’s Place Joel Paquette says all the dogs are sprayed/neutered, up to date with vaccinations, heartworm tested and are microchipped.
According to Paquette, the partnership began with Shiloh's Place's goal of being a part of the community and doing their best to assist many shelter pets in finding their forever homes. They began coordinating donations with the shelter, at which point his wife suggested holding an adoption event.
According to the outreach coordinator for Berrien County Animal Control Katherine Francis, at Shiloh's Place, a dog daycare, the dogs benefit from the open area as it gives them a change of scenery and an opportunity to showcase their personalities.
Dogs are always available for adoption at the Berrien County Animal Shelter. She said there will be more events during the spring, summer and fall.
