Silver Hawks lose top reliever to promotion

South Bend, Ind. – In conjunction with the Arizona Diamondbacks, the South Bend Silver Hawks have announced that LHP Eury De La Rosa has been promoted to high-A Visalia.



De La Rosa was arguably the best pitcher on the Silver Hawks staff this year, going 1-0 with a 1.36 ERA in 38 relief appearances. He picked up his first win last night as the Hawks rallied for a 2-1 walk off win over Lake County and also finished the year converting 10 of his 11 save opportunities. De La Rosa struck out 51 batters and walked only 13 in his 53.0 innings on the mound.



The Silver Hawks roster stands at 24 active players plus two on the disabled list.



The Silver Hawks play their final home game of the year tonight at 6:30 p.m., Eastern Time, against the Lake County Captains.
