Single vehicle crash leaves two injured

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart Police responded to a single vehicle crash near C.R.4 and C.R. 35. The Call came in at approximately 2:40 a.m. The driver of a 2015 Nissan Rogue was traveling eastbound on County Road 4, approaching County Road 35.
The driver disregarded the stop sign on C.R. 4 and drove into the wooded tree line east of C.R. 35. The driver sustained an injury to the right elbow, and the passenger sustained an injury to the face, causing bleeding from the mouth. The driver was cleared at the scene ,and the passenger was taken to Elkhart General Hospital for his injuries. Drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the crash.
The driver was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign.
