ABC 57 ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart County Sheriff's Department reports they responded to a crash around 7:18 a.m. on April 4 on US 20 near US 33.
Officers say that the 28-year-old driver of a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse was traveling east on US 20, east of US 33, at speeds too fast for the weather conditions with two passengers. The vehicle lost control and struck the center median, causing it to travel across the left and right of the eastbound lanes and ran off the road.
The 2-year-old passenger was transported for a laceration near the right eye, and the 32-year-old passenger reported a complaint of pain in her chest and ankle. Both were safely transported to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment.
The driver was cited for "Operating a Motor Vehicle without ever receiving a license" and released.
