Skylar Diggins named Big East Preseason Player of the Year

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Notre Dame's Skylar Diggins received a huge honor.
The junior was picked as the Preseason Player of the Year. She helped lead Notre Dame to the NCAA finals last season.
There’s more good news for the program, the Fighting Irish were also selected the favorite to win the Big East. It's the first time Notre Dame has been the top choice in the preseason since 2002.
