South Bend Cubs owner gives update on Four Winds Stadium expansion
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Rotary Club welcomed South Bend Cubs owner, Andrew Berlin, to the Century Center on Wednesday, where he spoke to ABC57 about the Four Winds Stadium expansion and if tariffs are impacting its construction.
Berlin stated the construction will be done on time by opening day of the 2026 season.
He says the building materials have been arriving on time, and the tariffs have not affected the construction due to the pre-ordering of materials.
"Along with maybe the few little touch ups that we have, little punch lists that we have to fulfill, towards the end, we're going to be, you know, stocking the entire ballpark with everything that's required to deliver this amazing experience. So yes, materials are here on time, and the good news, no tariffs have not affected us. We did a lot of pre-ordering, of a lot of our materials and, like I said, the construction project is moving along at a really quick pace," said Berlin.
