SOUTH BEND, Ind.—A local dance company is putting a spin on this year’s production of “The Nutcracker.”
The Southold Dance Theater on Lincolnway West is preparing for opening night of “The Nutcracker,” which kicks off Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Morris Performing Arts Center.
“Last year in 2017, we created a new, brand new, Nutcracker. Meaning everything was changed, from the choreography to the costumes to the sets. We adjusted the stories a little bit, so we can make it more South Bend oriented, because what I would like to do is not necessarily celebrate every year only The Nutcracker and the holidays, but I’d like to celebrate our community, the community of South,” said Catlin Radulescu, Artistic Director.
Tickets for the performance are still available but are selling out fast.
