South Bend man charged with Sexual Misconduct with a Minor

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department reports officers were dispatched to a residence on Aug. 7 regarding a reported sexual assault.
Officers spoke with the victim who stated 34-year-old Clinton Lee Roach had fondled them that evening.
The report states Roach had entered the victim's room and began touching them inappropriately.
Police were then shown text messages sent to the victim from Roach which read, "I'm sorry," and "Will you talk to your mom?"
The victim's mother then told police Roach admitted to her that he had touched the victim.
Authorities say Roach indicated he touched the victim and that he asked the victim to show him part of their body.
Roach is charged with one count of Sexual Misconduct with a Minor, a Level 5 Felony. His initial hearing is Sept. 2.
