South Bend man pleads guilty, gets over 17 years for Intent to Distribute meth

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Forty-four-year-old Lawrence Powell, of South Bend, was sentenced to 210 months in prison followed by four years of supervised release after he recently pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court.
According to documents in the case, in July 2022, a search warrant executed on Powell’s house resulted in the recovery of more than 800 grams of methamphetamine and three loaded guns.
He pleaded guilty to Possessing with Intent to Distribute methamphetamine.
