SOUTH BEND, Ind. – South Bend Mayor James Mueller made a special appearance on the nationwide ABC News to discuss how he and Notre Dame have handled the coronavirus.
The Mayor spoke about how everyone is working together to keep the spread of the virus as low as possible.
"With the testing, the contact tracing, and the isolation system they have in place, we hope that they're going to be able to contain any potential future outbreak and that shows what we could do as a country,” said Mayor Mueller.
The University of Notre Dame had a spike in cases in August but within weeks had the spread under control with only a single case reported on Wednesday.
