South Bend/Notre Dame Exit to close temporarily on Toll Road

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -

The South Bend, Notre Dame Exit on the Indiana Toll Road will close beginning Thursday for scheduled construction. 

According to those at the ITR, the closure at mile marker 77 is part of the 80/90 PUSH (Pavement Upgrade for a Superior Highway) Project. 

Thursday through April 10th, crews will mill and repave the interchange. 

The ITR reminds motorists to stay alert in construction zones, obey posted speed limit signs, and follow detours. 

Detours for this closure are:

• Westbound Exit at mile marker 72, US 31 North to US 12 East to 933 South (Michigan SR 51)

• Westbound Entry use 933 North to US 12 West to 31 South to entry at mile marker 72

• Eastbound Exit at mile marker 72, US 31 North to US 12 East to 933 South (Michigan SR 51)

• Eastbound Entry use 933 North to US 12 West to 31 South to entry at mile marker 72
