South Bend Police investigating July 4 shooting
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The South Bend Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday morning in the 1000 block of N. Johnson St.
At 2:40 a.m., officers were called to the area for reports of shots fired.
Shortly after arriving, dispatch said someone had been shot.
Police found a person with a gunshot wound to the lower body.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The South Bend Police Shooting Response Team is working on this ongoing investigation.
