South Bend Police K9s receive protective vests from non-profit
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - South Bend Police Department K9s Teddy and Troy will receive bullet and stab protective vests donated by the non-profit group, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.
K9 Teddy’s vest is sponsored by John and Molly Shirk of Redmond, Wash. and will be embroidered with, “This gift of protection provided by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.”.
K9 Troy’s vest is sponsored by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. and will be embroidered with, “Born to Love-Trained to Serve-Loyal Always”.
The vests are expected to be delivered within the next two months.
Established in 2009, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.'s mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States.
